GAP and Flamory

Flamory provides the following integration abilities:

  • Create and use window snapshots for GAP
  • Take and edit GAP screenshots
  • Automatically copy selected text from GAP and save it to Flamory history

Screenshot editing

Flamory helps you capture and store screenshots from GAP by pressing a single hotkey. It will be saved to a history, so you can continue doing your tasks without interruptions. Later, you can edit the screenshot: crop, resize, add labels and highlights. After that, you can paste the screenshot into any other document or e-mail message.

Application info

GAP is a system for computational discrete algebra, with particular emphasis on Computational Group Theory. GAP provides a programming language, a library of thousands of functions implementing algebraic algorithms written in the GAP language as well as large data libraries of algebraic objects. See also the overview and the description of the mathematical capabilities. GAP is used in research and teaching for studying groups and their representations, rings, vector spaces, algebras, combinatorial structures, and more. The system, including source, is distributed freely. You can study and easily modify or extend it for your special use.

Integration level may vary depending on the application version and other factors. Make sure that user are using recent version of GAP. Please contact us if you have different integration experience.
