Application info

Character Map (Charmap.exe) is a utility included with Microsoft Windows operating systems and is used to view the characters in any installed font, to check what keyboard input (Alt code) is used to enter those characters, and to copy characters to the clipboard in lieu of typing them. The tool is usually useful for entering special characters.

Charmap.exe can be invoked either through start menu, or by just typing charmap in the Start>Run box. It does have a search option (in the advanced menu) to search for the glyph name.

Character Map is also known as Charmap, Charmap.exe. Integration level may vary depending on the application version and other factors. Make sure that user are using recent version of Character Map. Please contact us if you have different integration experience.
