Application info

This tool allows to quickly verify a file you have downloaded. It was designed to minimize the time you spend to verify a file checksum:

- copy the checksum of the file into clipboard (usually located near the download link, double-click it then hit Control+C keys),

- drag & drop the file you have just downloaded onto hashcromp.exe.

-> You will get an immediate visual result of the comparison between the checksum into clipboard (which will determine the algorithm to use) and the checksum of the file you have dropped onto Hash CrOmp.

Other features:

- It allows to calculate a single file checksum (MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA1) by dropping a file onto an opened Hash CrOmp (or directly onto hashcromp.exe), and easily copy it into clipboard with a button.

- you can make shortcuts to Hash CrOmp with an algorithm as argument (-md5, -sha1...) which will then be used to calculate the checksum of the file dropped onto it (unless there is an algorithm into clipboard, then this last one has priority).

Integration level may vary depending on the application version and other factors. Make sure that user are using recent version of Hash CrOmp. Please contact us if you have different integration experience.
